what kris eats; yummy kale berry smoothie

If you want to try Kale but are not sure where to start, then this smoothie is for you! I call this a "beginner" smoothie because it requires juice instead of a healthier option like coconut milk or water. But we all have to start somewhere! Anyways, i find this one very easy to make especially if you have a nutribullet pro 900 series. If you don't, any blender will work. Kale contains very high concentrations of two important antioxidants- carotenoids and flavanoids- proven to aid in the prevention of bladder, breast, colon, ovary and prostate cancers! Kale can also boost your cardiovascular health and detox your system too. so get Kale-ing!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Orange juice or Guava juice

  • 1/2 cup plain low-fat yogurt (I prefer Greek yogurt for the creamy factor)

  • 1 frozen banana

  • 1/2 cup frozen organic strawberries

  • 1/4 cup organic frozen raspberries

  • 1 cup organic kale

  • 1 tbs Chia seeds

Blend in a blender for about 30-60 seconds depending on your blender. you can add ice to make it more crispy! Enjoy!

here is everything minus the Chia seeds
