into the dark blue

Being a first time Mom is an all new experience. That first year is a hard one. Its hard on you emotionally, mentally and physically. I have always been a thin girl but even the thin ones gain weight in weird places. I happened to be prego when colored denim and crops were all the rage. Epic Fail. :( But in 2013 a more modest feminine style came to be and i embraced it! After the birth of my son came some new trends like high waist'd shorts and A-line skirts that highlighted the true waist. these select styles were my saving Grace. Try a flirty dress before summer is over (unless you live in LA then its good all year) ;)

This look was created by H&M, Forever 21 and an online store called the closet boutique. I actually refer to the dress as my Michelle Obama dress or my Kate Middleton dress. Feminine lines, perfect pleats and fabric to die for, this dress is a perfect fit for a day look or night look. And it is great if you have a bit of weight in the tummy area. basically, it flatters any figure and shows off arms and shoulders. My shoes and jewelry are from HnM and the bag is from Forever 21.
